National First Division side Royal Eagles have been boosted by the availability of former Orlando Pirates midfielder Isaac Chansa.
The 2012 AFCON winner joined Eagles two weeks ago but has been waiting for his International Transfer Certificate and work permit to be issued before the club could process his registeration with the PSL.
The 32-year-old was unavailable for their Nedbank Cup Last 32 clash against defending champions SuperSport United last week, as well as their league match against FC Cape Town over the weekend.
Eagles coach Kosta Papic, who previously worked with Chansa at Pirates, has since confirmed the availability of the Zambian playmaker.
"There's progress with Isaac Chansa, which means he has received all the necessary documents but he still has to be registered with the PSL," Papic tells KickOff.com.
"Everything is done and he just waiting for the confirmation from the PSL."
Meanwhile, they are still awaiting papers for former Kaizer Chiefs winger Sula Matovu, who also joined last week, as the club look to strengthen their squad in the run-in to the promotion chase.
"Regarding my Matovu, nothing yet," Papic adds.
Eagles are currently sitting in fourth spot – one below the playoff zone – on the log, with 33 points from 21 matches.
After the ongoing international break, the KwaZulu-Natal-based side will visit Magesi FC on April 2 at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
