Bidvest Wits, SuperSport United and Platinum Stars await CAF Confederation Cup draw on Tuesday

Bidvest Wits, SuperSport United and Platinum Stars will find out their next opponents in the Confederation Cup when CAF holds a draw at 11h00 in Cairo, Egypt on Tuesday.

The draw will see 16 teams that advanced in the second-tier event battle sides eliminated from the Champions League for a place in the group stages of the Confed Cup.

Wits bowed out of Africa's premier club competition with a 1-0 aggregate loss to Al-Ahly on the weekend, while SuperSport and Stars saw off Al-Ahly Shendy and Vipers SC respectively in the Confed Cup.

The matches are due to take place on the weekends of April 7 and 14.

Teams that advanced in Confederation Cup:

MC Alger, JS Kabylie (Algeria), Recreativo do Libolo (Angola), ASEC Mimosas (Cote d’Ivoire), El Masry, Smouha (Egypt), MAS Fes, Ittihad Tangier (Morocco), Rayon Sports (Rwanda), Hilal El Obeid (Sudan), Mbabane Swallows (Swaziland), Platinum Stars, SuperSport United (South Africa), Club Africain, CS Sfaxien (Tunisia), Zesco United (Zambia).

Teams that dropped down from Champions League:

RC Kadiogo (Burkina Faso), AC Leopards (Congo), AS Tanda (Cote d’Ivoire), TP Mazembe (DR Congo), Mounana (Gabon), Gambia Ports Authority (Gambia), Horoya (Guinea), CNaPS (Madagascar), AS Port Louis (Mauritius), FUS Rabat (Morocco), Barrack Young Controllers (Liberia), Rivers United, Rangers (Nigeria), Bidvest Wits (South Africa), Young Africans (Tanzania), KCCA (Uganda).
