Igesund, Moriri - Long way to go

Highlands Park coach Gordon Igesund and midfielder Surprise Moriri insisted the fight for survival is far from over following a 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Maritzburg United.
Moriri, who joined Highlands in November after serving Mamelodi Sundowns with distinction, headed home his first goal for the club against Maritzburg at Makhulong Stadium on Sunday.
The result lifted the Lions of the North out of the relegation zone to 13th spot on the table with 20 points from 21 matches - a point ahead of neighbours Bloemfontein Celtic and Free State Stars, and five in front of Baroka.
Moriri told SABC TV: "It was hard work. The guys knews that if we win this game we give ourselves a chance to go on top of Free State Stars. There is still a long way to go. If we fight the way we fought today we give ourselves a chance."
Igesund added: "We knew it would be difficult but I was optimistic we would get results. The guys worked so hard and they had a refuse to lose attitude. I thought we were in control for large parts of the game. But we have got a long ways to go, so we must keep our feet on the ground."
