Bidvest Wits progressed to the Nedbank Cup last 16 after a 2-0 victory over Cape Town All Stars at Athlone Stadium on Wednesday.
After a goalless first half, Mogakolodi Ngele scored a brace early in the second half to put Wits into the ascendenacy and that's how it ended.
Wits enjoyed the majority of the possession in the first half but could not create many clear-cut chances, while the home side did well to contain the Clever Boys attackers.
But in the second half Gavin Hunt's side finally clicked into gear with two goals from Ngele as they eased into the last 16 draw, which takes place on Thursday.
Ngele's first was an easy tap-in after Eleazar Rodgers flicked on a Thulani Hlatshwayo long-throw, which was volleyed towards goal by Ejike Uzoenyi and parried by the goalkeeper, but straight into Ngele's path.
The second was a beautiful, curling left-footed effort from about 25 yards out which nestled into the bottom-left corner after Xola Mlambo won the ball high upfield to provide the shooting chance.
