The 2016/17 MultiChoice Diski Challenge champions Mamelodi Sundowns are gearing themselves for a nine-day European adventure.

The Brazilians will jet off for the Netherlands this weekend as the main prize awarded to the overall winners of the PSL Reserve League.

The team, led by head coach David Notoane and skipper Motjeka Madisha, will depart for the Netherlands on Friday and return to South Africa on Sunday, March 26.

During their stay in the Netherlands, ‘Bafana Ba Style’ will participate in the MultiChoice International Challenge; a one-day tournament involving three other teams from around the world: Excelsior Rotterdam (Netherlands), KAA Gent (Belgium) and Ichifuna FC (Japan).

The MDC champions will also play friendly matches against Eredivisie sides PEC Zwolle and AZ Alkmaar, before spending some time at the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) headquarters in Utrecht, where they will be training under the watchful eye of Dutch legends Frank De Boer and Aaron Winter.
