Kaizer Chiefs striker Gustavo Paez has set his sights on helping his club lift the Nedbank Cup after sweeping aside Stellenbosch in the Last 32.
Amakhosi cruised to a 3-0 victory at the Athlone Stadium, with Paez netting his first goal for the club in just his second start since arriving in January.
The Venezuelan frontman was delighted to get on the scoresheet and quickly turned his sights to going all the way to lifting the cup title on June 24.
"Yes, I'm very happy for myself and the team. We want to win this cup," Paez told SuperSport TV after the match.
"My first start was here [at Athlone Stadium] against Ajax, this is my second time in the startig line-up and fifth or sixth game [in total].
"I feel very confident and today I'm very happy that I scored. We took control of the match so I'm very happy."
The 26-year-old former Venezuelen youth international also set up the opening goal for Joseph Molangoane, capping off a great performance, but refused to take personal credit as he emphasised the team effort.
"Yes, I'm very happy for myself, like I've said, but this is for the team. Together we won, my teammates helped me to score and this [result] is important," he concluded.
