Nedbank Cup last-32 afternoon wrap: KwaDukuza vs Ajax CT, Buya Msuthu vs Bloem Celtic, FC CT vs Baroka, Cosmos vs Rovers

Bloemfontein Celtic, Baroka FC and Jomo Cosmos picked up victories, while Ajax Cape Town were humbled in Nedbank Cup last-32 action on Saturday afternoon.

All games kicked off at 15h00.

FT: KwaDukuza United 4-3 (pen after 2-2 draw) Ajax CT (Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium)

KwaDukuza United pulled off an upset by knocking Ajax Cape Town out of the Nedbank Cup with a 4-3 win on penalties.

The last-32 tie was decided from the spot after 120 minutes of football produced a 2-2 stalemate in Clermont.

Ajax twice took the lead in regulation time through Neo Mekua and Prince Nxumalo but the ABC Motsepe League side, formerly known as Natal United, equalised to ensure a tense finale.

Ajax XI: Petersen, Isaacs, Lartey, Chipeta, Sasman, Graham, Makua, Kabwe, Nxumalo, Funga, Pholongo.

FT: FC Cape Town 0-2 Baroka (NNK Rugby Stadium)

Ndivhuwo Ravhuvali broke the deadlock from the spot in the 52nd minute after Richard Matloga was fouled in the box.

Matloga added a second goal for Baroka in the 75th minute to end a 15-game winless run in all competitions.

FC CT: Khoza, Molomo, Kuilong, Gwala, Ndlovu, Chiwunga, Ndzie, Hleleni, Sambok, Hahn, Chivairo.

Baroka: Masuluke, Mapetho, Matloga, Shaku, Masenamela, Mahashe, Letsoalo, Ravhuhali, Kgaswane, Kunene, Madubanya.

FT: Buya Msuthu 0-2 Bloem Celtic (Moruleng Stadium)

Celtic started brightly as Deon Hotto bundled home an eighth minute opener following a cross from the right in Rustenburg.

Vuyisile Wana made the result safe with a goal in the 86th minute.

Msuthu XI: Mlambo, Matjeni, Sibanyoni, Thainyane, Gaborone, Masoko, Kok, Sediti, Mokoka, Borake, Sibande.

Celtic XI: Mtshali, Lakay, Sibanda, Rikhotso, Molekwane, Masuku, Maruping, Hotto, Phalane, Mabasa, Nyondo. 

FT: Jomo Cosmos 3-0 United Rovers (Tsakane Stadium)

Rovers had a great chance to score midway through the first stanza, but a weak penalty was comfortably saved by Thabo Modiba.

Man of the match Wiseman Maluleke then hit a quick-fire brace just past the hour-mark before Matsilele Sono sealed the rout with a free-kick.

Cosmos XI: Modiba, Mashele, Nsabiyumva, Lingwati, Lebahi, Haoseb, Mntambo, M. Sono, Maluleke, Tlolane, Hlongwane.

Rovers XI: TBA.
