Kampala City Capital Authority coach Mike Muteba says the away goal scored against Mamelodi Sundowns gives them confidence for the return leg of their Champions League first-round tie next Saturday.
KCCA went down 2-1 to the African champions in Tshwane last night.
"The goal gives us an advantage," said Mutebi ahead of the rematch in Kampala.
"You watched the game. We did not come here to defend. Sundowns is not known for defending. They were attacking. I believe when they come back to Kampala they will play like that. The away goal is important. It gives us confidence but that doesn't mean that the tie is over."
The visitors started the game poorly and were fortunate not to enter the break more than two goals down at Lucas Moripe Stadium, with former Bidvest Wits striker Geoffrey Sserunkuma later reducing the deficit in the 69th minute.
"We were playing the defending champions. The players over respected Sundowns. But as the game went on we started to believe in ourselves," added Mutebi.
