Baroka FC defender Mzwanele Mahashe says it’s going to be a tough game in Cape Town today when they face National First Division side FC Cape Town in the Nedbank Cup Last 32.
“We are playing against a Cape Town team and I’m familiar with Cape Town and Cape Town teams, so I know what they are all about and I’ve played there before,” Mahashe tells KickOff.com.
“I think the team also knows what FC Cape Town is all about; so we know that they are a very physical and strong team and they are very direct.”
Mahashe also said they shouldn’t be called giant slayers anymore as they are now playing against the big fishes in the Premier Soccer League.
“We are swimming with the big fishes now, so we no more the giant slayers. We actually with the giants now so we’ve rubbed shoulders with a lot of teams; so we mustn’t go out there against FC Cape Town and think that we are the giants. We have to approach the game in a professional manner and we have to go out there and win the game.”
Baroka FC will be hoping to get their first win of 2017 when they visit FC Cape Town today at the NNK Stadium at 15h00.
