Polokwane City striker Thobani Mncwango turns to SAFPU for help

Posted: 10 March 2017 Time: 11:09

Polokwane City striker Thobani Mncwango has turned to the South African Football Players Union for help after the club charged him with misconduct.

Mncwango, who netted 13 goals last season, has been on the sidelines for over a month after being suspended by City following allegations of misconduct.

The former Baroka FC attacker was recently supposed to attend a disciplinary hearing at the club but it was postponed.

"The boy is frustrated," says a source close to Mncwango.

"The club has charged him on allegations of misconduct after an article that appeared in one of the local publications.

"The club is still yet to announce a new date for his disciplinary case."

Polokwane yesterday parted ways with coach Luc Eymael, who declined to comment on Mncwango's future at Rise and Shine.
