OPINION: Bafana relief at last!

As he read the Bafana Bafana friendly 25-man squad list, former KICK OFF intern Mzamo Moloi experienced a surprising bout of emotions.
This is weird... when I saw the latest Bafana Bafana squad, almost instantaneously I felt the sensation of cold water running down my throat.
But I wasn't drinking anything, my mind simply responded to what my eyes saw and immediately simulated refreshing.
Mind to body: my auti, hambo phuza amanzi!
While backroom and courtroom discussions continue to rage on regarding the validity of Shakes Mashaba's sacking, one thing is evident: akekho uGogo! Sekushintshile! (Granny's gone. Things have changed)
Like I was struck by lightning - nga charga! Nje nge pantsula who hasn't heard Alaska's era defining hit "Accused" in years, at the sight of what I saw I couldn't help but jump up and do iskhanda: a very private never-to-be-seen-outside-my-kitchen version of iskhanda, that is.
"...Tjhe mtjhutjhisi! Asina ke yentse nthwena le bona ba tseba..." (No judge! It wasn't me and they know it)
It's as if Kermit Erasmus and Kamohelo Mokotjo were at the mic chanting those famous lines in unison, having been frozen out of the national team setup over the last few years.
From the back to the front every selection seems justified:
Darren Keet is a no-brainer despite his detractors following AFCON 2015. Lorenzo Gordinho deserves a look in, while Thabo Mnyamane has blossomed this season.
Percy Tau of course picks himself, while I'm interested to see if Lars Veldwijk can replicate his YouTube best-hits-collection with some decent service at his disposal - maybe he and Luther "Vandross" Singh can gooi a duet on field? If I start talking about Phakamani Mahlambi I won't finish...
Whether this assortment of talent can even play together is another topic for another day. In fact, let the formation debate begin. Kick Off, anishayeni i-poll lapho?
Imagine a forward line of Tau, Dolly, Mahlambi OR Erasmus, Veldwijk and Singh?
Okusalayo i-squad siyahlangana! (Either way, the team is shaping up)
And to those of you who think my celebrations are over the top or premature, I'll let Alaska have the final say "...ska tlong sukela!"
