Jabu Maluleke relishing Polokwane City vs African All Stars Nedbank Cup clash

Posted: 8 March 2017 Time: 17:29

Jabu Maluleke believes ABC Motsepe League side African All Stars will be coming at Polokwane City all guns blazing tonight, but says they’ll handle the pressure.

City outplayed All Stars in last year’s Nedbank Cup last 32 with a 2-0 win thanks to goals from striker Puleng Tlolane at Peter Mokaba Stadium, and face them again this evening.

“We are looking forward to the game and it’s our second time playing All Stars [in the Nedbank Cup],” Polokwane’s chief creative midfielder Maluleke tells

“Even last season in the Nedbank we played them and we beat them. But it won’t be easy playing them again in the second round; so I think we will be motivated playing against them and I think they’ll come in full force to us, but we looking forward to the game.”

Maluleke also feels playing at home will be an advantage for Rise and Shine as they’ll have their fans supporting them.

“If you are playing home you get a morale boost as you’re playing in front of your fans; so for them coming to Polokwane is a pressure and it won’t be easy for them playing in Polokwane as we will give them a run for their money,” Maluleke concludes.

Kick-off is scheduled for 19h30 at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
