Sangweni: Chippa must beat Wits

Chippa United captain Thamsanqa Sangweni says the team is aware they can ill afford to drop points tonight against in-form Bidvest Wits at Sisa Dukashe Stadium in Mdantsane, East London.
Chippa are taking strain as a recent 2-1 loss to Platinum Stars extended their winless run to five matches, leaving them five points above the drop zone with 10 fixtures remaining.
The Chilli Boys are also currently without head coach Dan Malesela, who is in a stable condition after being admitted to hospital on Sunday complaining of chest pains.
Malesela's assistant Mbuyiseni Sambo will be in charge of the 10th-placed side against the second-placed Clever Boys.
"I think everyone is aware of the situation we find ourselves in and the position on the log table," says Sangweni.
"We've played quite a number of games without getting positive results but I feel everyone is working hard to change that.
"We can't look down also because we put ourselves in this situation. What we need to do is work on the field so that in the next game we are playing we ensure we get maximum points and we have to win.
"There's no match as players we choose to play well. Every game we play we espouse the mentality to win and play good football.
"Sometimes playing well without getting a good result doesn't work, we have to also get results. So all the guys are ready for today's game and we have to win at all costs.
"Also to our supporters, we urge them to continue to make their voices heard. We are fully aware that things are not working well but we'll keep on fighting.
"I can promise with the rest of the guys that we will not drop our guard but we will keep on working hard to change results. To us this is not easy but we have to work in tandem. So when Chippa succeeds we see ourselves finishing in a respectable position on the log table at the end of the season."
Defender Kristopher Bergman is suspended for this evening's game after receiving a fourth caution against Dikwena.
