Ajax Cape Town coach Stanley Menzo says his team were lucky to come away with a point from their trip to SuperSport United.
Ajax held the title contenders to a goalless draw at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday night.
However, Menzo pointed out the Urban Warriors had to rely on a man-of-the-match display from goalkeeper Jody February in Atteridgeville.
Menzo told SABC TV: "We didn't play our best game. It was not about us but I think SuperSport didn't make us play football. They played up very high, we had to survive and defend and wait for that one moment. You saw the Man of the Match was our goalkeeper. But it was good to have a clean sheet, a point against SuperSport I think is terrific. Well, SuperSport deserves more, so we are happy with this point."
The former Holland and Ajax Amsterdam keeper felt his team made life difficult for themselves with poor communication.
"That part we are lacking and I don't know why. You can make it so easy if you communicate with the people in front of you, if you read the game and say what must happen. Especially against a good team, you have to communicate more."
Menzo's side are 12th in the standings with 21 points from 20 fixtures - seven points above the drop zone.
