Wome has already scored two goals for Bucs, most recently netting an equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Polokwane City at Orlando Stadium this past weekend.

The Togo international also struck in Pirates' previous 2-2 stalemate with Cape Town City.

“It was difficult for me this season because I was injured,” said Wome, who is the club's joint-second top scorer with Oupa Manyisa behind Tendai Ndoro on 12 goals.

"I have been out for two months and came back and the team was doing well. It's difficult for a coach to change.

"I got chance to move for a six-month loan and show what I can do. It was difficult for the start but now I am getting game-time. I am happy with the team,” added the former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker.

The 10th-placed Buccaneers are next in action in the Soweto Derby against title-chasing Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
