Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has confirmed that goalkeeper Denis Onyango could be out for the next “four to five games”.
Onyango picked up a knee injury during the 2-0 Absa Premiership win over Bidvest Wits at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday, coming off after just 23 minutes of play.
The Uganda international was eventually replaced by Wayne Sandilands, who produced the save of the match with three minutes left to deny Cuthbert Malajila from point-blank range and keep their clean-sheet intact.
The result saw the Brazilians climb to within three points of the summit with four games in hand over current leaders SuperSport United.
Mosimane has also revealed that defender Anele Ngcongca has joined the injury list at Chloorkop.
"Denis is out. He is on crutches,” said Mosimane, before confirming the long-term absences of another three players.
"Khama [Billiat] is out. [Anthony] Laffor is out. Anele is out. You won't see them in four to five games," he added.
