Mamelodi Sundowns' Tiyani Mabunda and Chippa United's Rhulani Manzini suspended

Posted: 27 February 2017 Time: 13:44

Mamelodi Sundowns will be minus midfielder Tiyani Mabunda against Chippa United on Tuesday, while the Chilli Boys will be missing striker Rhulani Manzini.

Mabunda has picked up a one-game ban after earning a fourth caution in Sundowns' 2-0 win over title rivals Bidvest Wits in Tshwane on Saturday. Goalkeeper Denis Onyango also sustained a knee injury in the contest.

Manzini is likewise suspended and will serve the second instalment of a two-match ban tomorrow following his red card in the club's 2-0 victory at Bloemfontein Celtic on February 19.

Downs - three points shy of log leaders SuperSport United but with four fixtures in hand - will host mid-table Chippa at Loftus Versfeld Stadium (19h30).

The Brazilians, who have been fined along with coach Pitso Mosimane for their bench dispute with SuperSport in last year's MTN8 quarter-finals, are playing catch-up in the league owing to their exploits on the continent.

Mosimane's side recently added the CAF Super Cup to their Champions League crown.
