No peace for Lovers

No peace for Lovers

Moroka Swallows captain Lefa Tsutsulupa has warned his teammates against complacency when they meet Vodacom side Peace Lovers in their Last 16 Nedbank Cup game.

Tsutsulupa, who scored the first goal in their 3-1 win over fellow Absa Premiership side Bidvest Wits, said that every Cup game is tricky.

“We need to approach the game with caution and not let complacency go to our heads. We can beat a Premiership team but fail to overcome a so-called smaller team. There are no smaller teams in Cup games.”

The former Bloemfontein Celtic player said that they will go into that game just as they have done in all other games they have played.

“We want to win something before the end of the season and the only two trophies remaining are the League and the Nedbank Cup. To make sure we are closer to that, we have to start by winning the game against Peace Lovers,” he said.

Peace Lovers, who are from the Limpopo Vodacom League, beat a fellow lower division side Real Madrid 1-0 at Peter Mokaba Stadium where they will also host Swallows.

“It is hard playing a team on their home ground, especially in the lower leagues but we will go all out for a win,” Tsutsulupa told KickOff.com.
