Pirates' winless run continues with draw

New coach Kjell Jonevret watched on as Orlando Pirates stretched their winless run to 10 games with a 1-1 Absa Premiership draw against Polokwane City at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
It might have been worse too as The Buccaneers fell behind to a strike from Rodney Ramagalela early in the second half, before Dove Wome scored his second goal in as many games to equalise.
Jonevret recalled top-scorer Tendai Ndoro to the starting line-up in place of Thamsanqa Gabuza, while Mpho Makola also got a recall.
The first half was a tepid affair with the best chance falling to Makola, whose low shot was expertly saved by George Chigova in the Polokwane goal.
But for the rest it was a half of frustration, with the visitors resorting to shots from long range, which mostly flew well high and wide.
Pirates were at times scrappy in the pass and battled to get behind the Polokwane defence.
They fell behind in the 52nd minute as Ramagalela blasted the ball home, but soon afterwards were level via Wome.
Riyaad Norodien struck a post in injury-time to deny him a second late goal in as many games and Jonevret had to settle for a point in his first game in charge.
