Mandla Masango cites Stuart Baxter's influence as a major factor in finding his feet at SuperSport United

Mandla Masango paid homage to his coach after netting twice in SuperSport United's second-half dismantling of Maritzburg United.

The Team of Choice were put to the sword at the Lucas Moripe Stadium with Masango the destroyer in chief as he bagged a two-minute brace.

Subsequent to the game he was quick to cite the support received from Stuart Baxter as being complicit in his success.

"It all boils down to a team effort. Everyone put in a hard shift so we are deserved winners," he told SuperSport TV following the game.

"It's not only about my ability. The coach has faith in me, so do my teammates and the club. I'm grateful for the opportunity they have given me to showcase my talent.

"Going back to the game it was a much better second-half. Even though we gave them an early lead we fought back hard. Everyone can score at any given time and that's great for the club.

"Maybe one day I'll get a hat-trick. The lads put in a hard shift and we are very grateful for the three points."
