Claasen, Erasmus, Mahlangu, Domingo, Masalesa, Mayambela all in action on Monday night

It was a mostly fruitful night for South Africa’s players abroad, with four tasting victory and two bitter defeat.

DAYLON CLAASEN
Claasen came on for the final 15 minutes as his German Bundesliga II side 1860 Munich won 2-0 at home to Nurnberg to move seven points clear of the drop-zone.

HAASHIM DOMINGO
Played the first 67 minutes for Portuguese second-tier side Vitoria Guimaraes B as they won 3-1 at home to Olhanense. Thibang Phete was an unused substitute.

KERMIT ERASMUS
Came off the bench after 55 minutes but his French Ligue 2 side slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Orleans. Erasmus has now not scored for over 13 months.

MAY MAHLANGU
Mahlangu came on after 55 minutes to help his Romanian side Dinamo Bucharest to a 1-0 home win over FC Botosani that snapped a three-game losing streak.

LEHLOGONOLO MASALESA
Masalesa played the full 90 minutes for Greek side Larissa as they won 2-1 at home to Levadiakos. It was the first time in eight appearances he has tasted victory with his new team.

MIHLALI MAYAMBELA
Came on for the final 15 minutes as Djurgardens suffered a disappointing 2-1 Swedish Cup home loss to second-tier Degerfors.
