Platinum Stars duo Vuyo Mere and Siyabonga Zulu insist Dikwena will go on the attack in the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary fixture with Uniao de Songo in Maputo, Mozambique.
Stars won the first duel 1-0 courtesy of Robert Ng’ambi’s strike in Rustenburg last weekend.
"They won’t be sitting back like they did in Rustenburg. They will come with guns blazing. We are expecting a tough game,” Mere told the club's website ahead of the 18h00 kick-off on Saturday.
“They are a good side. For them to compete in Confed Cup says a lot about them. When we played them at home, they showed signs of being a good team. They parked the bus the whole game but it’s going to be a different ball game here in Mozambique. They will be looking to get results. We are here to win the game.”
He added: “Coach Cavin [Johnson] and his technical team don’t believe in this thing of defending. They believe the best form of defence is attack. We will play our brand of football.”
Left-back Zulu shared Mere's sentiment.
“We have to fight because we are playing outside the country. We know what to expect. We have to work hard. Our mission is to attack. We don’t want to defend because if we are defensive, we will lose. We have to attack and continue the way we have been playing.”
