Free State Stars coach Serame Letsoaka has revealed that inspirational captain Paulus Masehe is in his squad for the weekend clash with Golden Arrows at Princes Magogo Stadium.
Masehe has missed Stars' last 10 games in all competitions after straining his thigh in a Telkom Knockout quarter-final win over Kaizer Chiefs in November at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
However, the versatile 33-year-old - whose absence was felt by Letsoaka's predecessor Giovanni Solinas - is back in contention for the struggling outfit.
"He'll be part of the team and yes he has recovered from his injury," Letsoaka tells KickOff.com ahead of the 15h30 kick-off in KwaMashu on Saturday.
"He'll bring a lot of leadership in the team and one is very excited. He'll be back as the captain of the team again and him being back, there will be a lot of stability in the team," says Letsoaka, whose side drew 0-0 with his former club SuperSport United in midweek.
Letsoaka has ample respect for ex-employers Arrows, who bounced back from a 5-2 loss to SuperSport with a 2-1 win over Bloemfontein Celtic last weekend. Clinton Larsen's side are seventh on the table with 23 points from 17 games - eight points more than 14th-placed Stars.
"Golden Arrows is for me, in my opinion, if you look at the 5-2 loss against SuperSport, it was not a true reflection of the game and they are a really, really good side," he adds.
"The fact that they are in eighth (sic), it tells you that they're a really good side. So we are going to give them the respect that they deserve as a team, that for me, is on form.
"We'll give them an approach that deserves the position in which they are."
Letsoaka is still minus Thokozani Sekotlong as the striker regains his fitness in training, while January signing Nhlakanipho Ntuli is doubtful after spending over a year out of the game.
