Saturday will see reigning CAF Champions League kings Sundowns host CAF Confederation Cup counterparts Mazembe at Loftus Versfeld, with the winner pocketing a cool R1.34m, although the losers can hardly turn their noses up at the R982,000 runners-up prize.

On the Premiership front, Cape Town City face a tricky task at home to Orlando Pirates, who are still licking their wounds following the 6-0 drubbing at the hands of Sundowns. Kaizer Chiefs, meanwhile, will look to continue their good run as they take on Highlands Park, while struggling Ajax Cape Town are on the road against a resilient Polokwane City.

Sunday’s only local encounter pits 13th-placed Bloemfontein Celtic against ninth-placed Chippa United.

There's also FA Cup action on this weekend, which pits a number of lower-league sides against Premier League giants as Chelsea travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers, while Blackburn Rovers host Manchester United.

Keagan Dolly’s Montpellier will look to make it back-to-back wins as they take on fifth-placed Saint-Etienne in Ligue 1, Barcelona will look to keep up their title tilt with three points against 17th-placed Leganes, with the weekend’s action culminating in a huge clash in Serie A as heavyweights AC Milan and Fiorentina do battle at the San Siro.
