Justice Chabalala is confident he can improve on his debut showing for Chippa United.
The defender made his bow in the 1-1 draw with Mamelodi Sundowns in East London on Tuesday, having joined the Chilli Boys in January on loan until the end of the season from Orlando Pirates.
Polokwane-born Chabalala partnered Kris Bergman in central defence at Sisa Dukashe Stadium, taking the place of the injured Bongani Kama (ankle).
“It was good to be out there with the team, and I was delighted to play my first game for the club,” Chabalala told the club's website.
“I know that I can play better, and we as a collective must build on Tuesday's performance.”
Chippa visit Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday, and Chabalala says the team holds no fear of playing at Dr Molemela Stadium.
“We are going to Bloemfontein without any fear. We are aware of the threat they pose in front of their fans, but the important thing for us is to focus on our game.
“The spirit here is amazing and that is a foundation for success. We work for each other.”
