Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Lebese says he's ready and fully recovered from his injury ahead of Saturday's clash with Highlands Park at Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The 28-year-old last featured for Amakhosi on December 15 in a goalless draw against Bloemfontein Celtic having missing the last four matches which the club has won.
The winger, who was part of the travelling squad that beat Maritzburg United last weekend, has seen his place in the team taken by Zimbabwean Edmore Chirambadare.
With coach Steve Komphela keeping the same starting line-up in the last two matches, Lebese is aware that he's got a tough task to dislodge Chirambadare, but says it's nice to see the team getting their form back.
"It's good for the team and the guys are performing very well," says Lebese.
"I'm fit now and they guys are doing well and on a good run of form. So I've got to keep fighting to be back into the team."
Meanwhile, Lebese says the 'feel good' factor is back in the camp as they aim to keep the club's fans smiling by clocking wins.
Komphela's side, who endured a shaky start to the season, are third on the log with 30 points from 17 matches - a point behind Cape Town City and Bidvest Wits, who have two games in hand. SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns are also in the mix for title honours.
"Obviously we didn't start well but we got the momentum at the right time," adds Mamelodi-born Lebese, who has scored three league goals this season.
"We are still competing for the title which is most important now. So long as we see smiles on the supporters... it's good for us."
