Orlando Pirates set to register Nigerian stopper Emmanuel Daniel

Posted: 16 February 2017 Time: 22:00

KickOff.com has learnt that Orlando Pirates are preparing to register goalkeeper Emmanuel Daniel ahead of their trip to the Mother City to face Cape Town City on Saturday.

Pirates are only left with one goalkeeper after Jackson Mabokgwane received a red card during the league game against Bidvest Wits on Wednesday, whilst Brighton Mhlongo is still nursing a hamstring injury.

This publication broke the story about Daniel's arrival at Pirates a few weeks ago.

According to a source close to the club, Bucs are ready to register the Nigerian goalkeeper following the departure of Ghana defender Edwin Gyimah.

"Daniel has been training with the club since he arrived in the country in January. He is free to play and fill the foreign space left after the departure of Edwin Gyimah," the source tells KickOff.com.
