Jabu back to his old ways?

Posted: 11 March 2009 Time: 21:22

Could Jabu Mahlangu be putting his career at risk by returning to his old ways? This will be the question fans are asking themselves following reports that ‘Shuffle’ has gone Awol from Platinum Stars training.

A source close to the camp has told KickOff.com that Mahlangu has been Awol from training since last Thursday, which would explain his absence from the side that beat Golden Arrows on penalties in the Nedbank Cup on Saturday.   This is not the first time Mahlangu has got up to his old tricks at Stars – after being substituted in the game against Bidvest Wits in February, the former Kaizer Chiefs hero left the stadium immediately and did not show up at training for two days.   “The coach is fed up,” our source, a member of the technical team, says. “If it happened once, then fine … you can work it out. But this is the second time Jabu has gone Awol. With his contract coming to an end at the end of the season, it could jeopardise his chances of staying at the club. We were hoping to keep him, but now his future here is in doubt.”   Mahlangu was looking to resurrect his career after failed spells at SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates. A successful stint at Swedish lower division side Osters IF won him a short-term contract at Stars, but whether that will now be extended remains to be seen.

If this is true, the moemish has just wasted his last chance. Seeing that his music career didnt even take off, does he has anything else to fall back to...?

Soegs, I agree with you hosi ya mina, our under 23 squad that quilified for the olimpics under Shakes Mashaba could have been the core of Bafana Bafana now, but non of them has progressed, only Benni, Rowen, Arron, Nomvete, Quinton and Booth have tried, the rest they are nowhere... shame on SA football.

Dear Proffessor

We sincerely apologize for the way things were handled and left off last night. We felt we were doing the right thing at the time and just had trouble seeing things on the same page as you. However this will not happen again and we will just do the right thing and say we are sorry for everything. Again we apologize.

Are you still fighting about this issue? Yesterday you referred us to a site that doesn't exist. I didn’t listen to Metro FM last night, hence I can’t comment on that.

Ders a song by 2pac that says "dats just da way it is somethings wil neva change". If jabu had da basics of Naledi Pandor OBE skill none of this wud hv happened. Lack of education nd guidance is 2 of many factors dat contribute 2ward jabu's antics. n Donkey stamp ni sy kop 2 keer teen een pal ni. Even a donkey is beter dan jabu coz he wnt bump his head twice against da same pole. Amakhosi 4 life
