Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka has reiterated his commitment to the club as contract renewal talks drag on.
Chiefs mentioned late last month that negotiations with the likes of Willard Katsande, Tsepo Masilela, Lucky Baloyi and Maluleka were on going, while an agreement was expected to be reached with the latter early in February.
"We are busy with the review of other contracts. We are working around the clock to review the contracts of Lucky Baloyi, Willard Katsande, Tsepo Masilela and George Maluleka,” Motaung previously told the Chiefs website.
"Proposals are on the table with regard to Katsande and Maluleka. We are looking to finalise Maluleka’s deal by the end of the week.”
However, it has turned out that the two parties have yet to find common ground more than two weeks later.
'Mido', though, says he will remain professional about the situation and is fully focused on helping Amakhosi in their quest for salvaging some silverware from this season.
"I'm a Chiefs player. I'm happy here, and we are still in negotiations. I haven't spoken to anyone else," said Maluleka.
"I still have a job to do and I'm committed to helping the team succeed."
The 28-year-old has strated 2017 with a bag, having picked up back-to-back man of the match awards in their recent wins over Free Stars Stars and Maritzburg United.
