The national footballing association released a statement, which reads: 'The COSAFA meeting last Saturday, 11 February 2017 endorsed candidates for the CAF and FIFA positions which will be determined at the forthcoming CAF Congress in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa on 13 March.

'SAFA President, Dr Danny Jordaan will contest for the FIFA (Council) Executive seat in the Open Category which has three vacancies of which one has to be a female candidate.
