Ertugral shrugs off rumours

Posted: 11 March 2009 Time: 02:46 pm

Kaizer Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertugral has brushed aside unsubstantiated reports that he is set to be shown the door at Naturena at the end of the season.

The Turkish-born mentor tells KickOff.com that he is not worried about these reports.   Ertugral has been under pressure from a section of Amakhosi fans due to the team’s inconsistent results of late.   The fans also pressurised him into taking off Venezuelan striker Jose Torrealba in the 70th minute during the Nedbank Cup game against Free State Stars at Super Stadium on Sunday.   Following a barrage of booing from club fans, Ertugral got up from the bench and turned to face the fans and indicated that they should calm down.   Ertugral’s love-hate relationship with Kaizer Chiefs fans was aggravated by the presence of former club coach Jeff Butler at Super Stadium on Sunday.   Speaking to KickOff.com, the former Ajax Cape Town mentor said he was not feeling any pressure in his job despite speculation that his days at Naturena are numbered.   “This is all mere speculation. At this moment I am concentrating on both the Nedbank Cup and the League games and will only think about my future at Chiefs at the end of the season,” he adds.

Is Jeff Butler still alive? He must be 100 years old. Chiefs to be coached by someone older that Mandela. I don't think he's uptodate with modern football.

Where there is smoke there is fire...

Everybody is on denial nowadays.

1.Josta denied rumours that he is joining Chiefs
2.Mahoota denied rumours that he is joining Pirates
3.Gert denied rumours that he is joining Celtic
4.Brian 1nce denied rumours that he was leaving Chiefs
5.Mugabe denied rumours that there's cholera in Zim

And now Mushin is denying rumours that he might leave Chiefs. We will be patiently waiting.

The dude must just hit the road man he has overstayed his welcome. Only problem is he won't be fired. Why, you ask ? when its clear that he has bungeld @ Chiefs and failed the supporters.

Kaizer o rata Chelete too much man. The thought of him paying out the palooka on his contract and getting a new coach is just painful to him. He'd rather sacrifice the supporters hapiness the player's morale and the sponsors content with thn lose that money.

Rember how long it took to for him to get rid of that poepol Middendorp even when the righting was already on the wall ?

I would'nt b surprised if this would be FIRED

He once said Gert is not good enough for chiefs but Gert proved him otherwise, then he got rid of Gert and Khanyeza and look at what they are doing in their respective clubs.

Which business owner(well in this case club boss) would allow an employee to get rid of good assets in the business?
yep no one

SO I can safely say Lo Mshini awusapompi zona

PS: No Coach is bigger than the fans in SA it has been proven time and time again, it will be proven before the end of the season

Trevstar, come up with solutions dont add onto existing problems.

Its easy to critisize, but how about building for a change. Muhsin took over from Middendorp and Ted after they both destroy Chiefs.

Until Chiefs can find a suitable coach, Muhsin is going no where.

Mushin is not a bad coach, but not the right one for Chiefs. The expectation is high right and winning domestic cups is no longer what we want. The league is our main priority. Looking at the current performance by the team, I'm convinced that the players are no longer motivated to play under him.
