Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Themba Zwane expects tough test against Chippa United

Posted: 14 February 2017 Time: 16:31

Themba Zwane has scored in consecutive Absa Premiership matches for Mamelodi Sundowns, but the midfielder knows he will not have it all his way against Chippa United tonight.

The Bafana Bafana playmaker kicked off 2017 with the winning goal against Bloemfontein Celtic last week, before again getting in on the action in the 6-0 demolition of Orlando Pirates on Saturday.

And while Zwane is all too aware of the threat posed by the Chilli Boys, and most notably former Sundowns striker Katlego Mashego - who now plays for United - the midfielder is confident of getting the job done at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium.

"It's not going to be an easy game because [Chippa] United are a good team. That's why we are anticipating a difficult match," Zwane told SuperSport.

"They like keeping the ball and playing good football. They now have a quality striker in Katlego Mashego which makes them even more dangerous.

"However, we will focus on our own game against United and hopefully we will grab maximum points," he continued.

"So it's very important for us to continue working hard and the positive results will be forthcoming."
