George Maluleka credits MOTM awards to form and quality of the Kaizer Chiefs squad

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Maluleka says he can't take all the credit for his barnstorming form after being named Man of the Match in the victory over Maritzburg United on Saturday night.
It was a second match gong for the former SuperSport United midfielder after he picked up the same accolade after the 3-1 win over Free State Stars when the season resumed last week Tuesday.
Maluleka's partnership with strongman Willard Katsande seems to be the driving force behind Chiefs' resurgence of form, which has seen the club win four games on the trot to go second in the Premiership table after what was a difficult first-half of the season.
And 28-year-old Maluleka, whose contract with Chiefs is said to come to an end in June, acknowledges that he is enjoying a strong run of form, but says the team collectively are due the recognition.
"I don't think it [Chiefs’ winning streak] has got anything to do with my form; I just feel the team is doing very well," he said.
"We are all gelling very well and we all have the common goals. I can't take all the credit to be honest; yes, I'm playing well, but it’s just because of my team-mates."
With coach Steve Komphela also downplaying his side as potential title contenders, it seems the entire team are playing their cards close to their chests.
"It's still early on in the season and the second-half of the season [just started], so we are trying to make sure [to take it] each game as it comes," added Maluleka.
"Every game we go to we want to make sure we collect points, so it’s still early to talk about the league winners or titles, but we just want to make sure that we get maximum points everywhere we go."
Maluleka and his side will hope to maintain their form when they face strugglers Highlands Park in Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.
