Polokwane City struck right at the death to deny Highlands Park all three points as Sunday's Makhulong Stadium encounter finished 1-1.
The Lions of the North came out the blocks flying and took the lead after less than 120 seconds, with Peter Shalulile slotting past the goalkeeper to give the hosts the best possible start.
Polokwane looked to respond to their early lapse in concentration and began bossing the game, although they were unable to truly trouble Tapuwa Kapini in goal, with the keeper doing well to deal with several corners and dead-ball situations.
Both sides seemed to lose momentum after the break, though, with numerous fouls and free-kicks preventing either team from finding any sustainable flow.
Jabulani Maluleke tried to grab the headlines for Rise and Shine as the match headed into the final few minutes, but the midfielder got his shot all wrong and fizzed the ball wide of the mark.
However, Polokwane weren't to be denied and finally got the equaliser in second-half stoppage time, Sipho Jembula firing home deep into stoppage time to deny Gordon Igesund’s men three priceless points.
