Bafana Bafana midfielder Keagan Dolly made his debut for Montpellier in a 2-1 loss to Ligue One leaders AS Monaco on Tuesday night.
Dolly, who left African champions Mamelodi Sundowns last month, played 80 minutes before being replaced by Paul Lasne with his side 2-0 down.
The 24-year-old was also on the bench when La Paillade defeated Bastia over the weekend.
Montpellier are 13th on the French topflight table - three points above the drop zone.
