Baroka FC are without striker Helder Pelembe for tonight's Premiership clash away to Chippa United

Posted: 7 February 2017 Time: 10:41

Baroka FC will face Chippa United tonight at 19h30 at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium without new signing Helder Pelembe due to work permit issues.

The Mozambican striker has already made an impact in Bakgaga since arriving in January by scoring four goals in four friendly matches, including in the 3-1 win last month against Mbombela United in the Mbombela Spectacular.

"He [Pelembe] is not here [in Port Elizabeth], he is not in the team. He is waiting to fix his papers, his work permit still needs to be sorted,” a source close to the team tells

Pelembe’s absence for tonight's clash against the Chilli Boys only adds to Baroka coach Jacob Sakala's misery as Uganda internationals Khalid Aucho and Geoffrey Massa also miss out as they are only set to arrive back from Uganda on Thursday, following their involvement at the 2017 African Nations Cup.
