KickOff.com can confirm that Highlands Park have signed former Golden Arrows defender Chris Katjiukua.
The Namibian international was released by Abafana Bes’thende last month after making only one appearance for Clinton Larsen’s side this season.
The 29-year-old was part of the Arrows team – along with his compatriot Deon Hotto – that helped the club return to the Premiership in the 2014/15 season.
Highlands Park media officer Sbonelo Ngidi confirms the club has signed Katjiukua and says other movements will be revealed in a press statement tomorrow.
“I know we’ve signed a few players but I don’t know their names and by tomorrow we’ll issue a statement,” Ngidi tells KickOff.com.
“I know we’ve signed one player from Nigeria and another from Namibia but in terms of name-wise I haven't got them yet but tomorrow morning we'll issue the statement.”
The Okakarara-born defender, who was also part of the Namibia team that won the Cosafa Cup championship in Rustenburg in 2015, took to his social network to thank the club after he was invited for an assessment, and he posted a picture alongside compatriot Peter Shalulile.
Gordon Igesund’s side, who have struggled in their debut season in the PSL and are positioned 15th on the table, resume league action against Cape Town City on Tuesday at Cape Town Stadium.
