KickOff.com can reveal Platinum Stars have been boosted ahead of their Premiership fixture against Orlando Pirates next week after Gerald Phiri Jnr received his work permit.

The Malawi international was snapped up by Dikwena on loan from PSL rivals Bidvest Wits during the recently-closed January transfer window, along with other new arrivals, including Willem Mwedihanga and Abia Nale.

The Rustenburg giants resume domestic duties against the Buccaneers at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium next week Wednesday, and Stars general manager Senzo Mazingisa has confirmed Phiri is now one of those eligible to play.

"His [Phiri's] papers have been sorted out. We are looking forward [to the fact] that ge will add value to the club, together with the other new signings," Mazingisa tells KickOff.com.

Platinum Stars also announced the signing of midfielder Enocent Mkhabela on loan from Kaizer Chiefs, as was revealed by this site.
