Cape Town City’s new young talent Siyabonga Dubula says his ready to set the Absa Premiership alight.

The 22-year-old local boy from Delft on the Cape Flats completed his big move from National First Division outfit FC Cape Town to the top flight on transfer deadline day.

Dubula says he is very much excited about his new adventure and hopes to add value to the Citizens in the Mother City.

“First of all I’m very excited and I’m looking forward to the season,” Dubula tells KickOff.com.

“The team welcomed me very well, the players and the coaches, it’s very nice. I’m looking forward to winning things with the club.”

Dubula says City’s fans will be in for a treat if he gets the opportunity to showcase his talent.

“As I young player I’m here to bring energy to the club and I’m here to bring speed. I’m here to show South Africa that there is talent in Cape Town,” said the attacking midfielder.

Dubula feels the short trial spells he has enjoyed at clubs like Kaizer Chiefs and Chippa United have helped him to improve his confidence and outlook on the game.

“I was exposed to a lot of things so it kind of built me as a player. I was in the company of very good players during my time at these clubs and it really helped me to build up my confidence.

“I think now I’m ready for the challenges the PSL will throw at me,” Dubula concludes.
