Baroka CEO Morgan Mammila has denied reports that the club sent termination letters to Ugandan duo Geofrey Massa and Khalid Aucho.
The duo were believed to have been axed from the Bakgaga squad following their lack of gametime in the first half of the season.
Massa, who captains the Ugandan national team, and Aucho were fulfilling duties at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon, and were unaware of their situations at the club.
Mammila has since quashed suggestions that Bakgaga were no longer interested in the Cranes attackers.
"No, no, no... The two players are still Baroka players, I'm waiting for them to come back from AFCON so that we can prepare for the upcoming games," he told reporters at the PSL offices on Tuesday night.
"It was just a misunderstanding, it was a statement from outside the team – supporters – and I really don't know.
"I have investigated [but] I did not get where it came from."
Meanwhile, Mammila also confirmed to KickOff.com that the club decided against signing Walter Musona, who is the younger brother of former Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona.
