1860 Munich reject Würzburger Kickers bid for Daylon Claasen

Posted: 1 February 2017 Time: 12:07

South African winger Daylon Claasen was the subject of a deadline day offer from German Bundesliga II side Würzburger Kickers, but this was rejected by his current club 1860 Munich.

Kickers had tried to sign the 27-year-old at the start of the season and made another attempt yesterday, but were rebuffed again despite Claasen only having six months remaining on his contract.

That means the Bafana Bafana international is almost certain to leave on a free transfer at the end of the campaign, unless 1860 can persuade him to stay.

A move to Kickers would have seen him vie for promotion to the top-flight this campaign, while he instead appears to be embroiled in another relegation battle with 1860.
