Joint-log leaders Cape Town City have announced the signing of Cape Town youngster Siyabonga Dubula.
The 22-year-old joins the top-flight club from neighbouring National First Division side FC Cape Town, joining fellow youngsters Raphael Georgiades and Mozambique international Edmilson Dove as the club’s new recruits so far in January.
“Cape Town City Football Club is proud to announce the signing of midfielder, Siyabonga Dubula,” a statement released by City read. “The local Cape Town boy from Delft is one of the top prospects in the country and we have no doubt that he has a bright future at CTCFC.
“The club has purchased Dubula from local NFD outfit FC Cape Town and this big transfer is testament to the bridges that CTCFC is building with other Cape Town clubs to promote and develop our local talent at the highest level.”
In eight starts and six substitute appearances for FC Cape Town, Dubula netted twice for the club, who currently lie 12th in the First Division standings.
