SA players abroad: Dolly, Erasmus, Jali, Masalesa, Ndlovu, Patosi, Rantie, Zungu, Claasen

Dino Ndlovu was on target, fellow striker Kermit Erasmus made his debut, Bongani Zungu saw more game-time, while Ayanda Patosi and Keagan Dolly missed out on European action on the weekend.

DAYLON CLAASEN
Claasen came off the bench on 58 minutes to help German Bundesliga II side 1860 Munich defeat Greuther Fürth in their first match of 2017.

KEAGAN DOLLY
Dolly’s deal to French Ligue 1 side Montpellier was not completed in time to allow him to play in the league clash with Marseille, which his new club lost 5-1.

KERMIT ERASMUS
Erasmus debuted for the last few minutes at French Ligue 2 side Lens as they let a late lead slip to go down 2-1 at promotion rivals Amiens.

ANDILE JALI
Jali played the first 68 minutes as Oostende lost 3-0 at St Truiden, perhaps finally ending their title hopes this season.

LEHLOGONOLO MASALESA
The former Orlando Pirates midfielder played for Larissa as they drew 1-1 at Iraklis in the Greek top flight.

KAMOHELO MOKOTJO
Mokotjo played the full game as FC Twente completed a fine 2-1 away win at PEC Zwolle in the Netherlands.

DINO NDLOVU
Ndlovu bagged his eighth goal of the season when he netted a penalty in a 1-1 draw for his Azerbaijan club Qarabag against Neftçi.

AYANDA PATOSI
Patosi’s stand-off with Belgian side Lokeren over his refusal to sign a new contract continues and he was not in the match-day squad again this weekend.

ZAMA RAMBUWANE
Rambuwane was a late sub for new Israeli second-tier side Ironi Nesher as they drew 0-0 with Hapoel Nir to stay sixth in the 16-team league.

TOKELO RANTIE
Rantie started for Turkish side Genclerbirligi as they drew 1-1 with Osmanlıspor. He was replaced with 15 minutes to go.

LARS VELDWIJK
Veldwijk did not make it off the bench for Belgian side Kortrijk.

BONGANI ZUNGU
Zungu started again for Portuguese top-flight side Vitoria Guimaraes as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Maritimo in a league clash. The ex-Mamelodi Sundown midfielder looks to have nailed down a regular starting berth now.
