Clinto Larsen confident Knox Mutizwa will do well at Golden Arrows

Golden Arrows coach Clinton Larsen is confident that striker Knox Mutizwa will deliver the goods for the Durban-based side in the second half of the season.

Mutizwa joined Arrows on loan from Bidvest Wits until the end of the season, and is a favourite to lead the Abafana Bes'thende strike force when the fixtures resume next month.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder caught The Clever Boys' attention after netting 14 goals in 17 starts for Highlanders in the 2015/16 campaign, before arriving at Sturrock Park at the start of the current season.

However, Mutizwa was not registered for the first half of the campaign, due to Wits' filling their foreign quota, and was subsequently left to settle for game-time in the Multichoice Diski Challenge.

Larsen is well aware of the Zimbabwean's record from last season, and rates it is only a matter of time before he finds his feet in the PSL.

"Knox has a good scoring record in Zimbabwe. He is an intelligent player and is comfortable on the ball," Larsen tells

"He has settled well and judging from what I have seen at training, it won't take long before he show his true potential."

Arrows, meanwhile, have handed former Orlando Pirates striker Chiukepo Msowoya a trial, and the former Bloemfontein Celtic mentor will make a final assessment by the end of this week.

"We are playing two friendly games this week, which will allow us a chance to make a decision on him," he added.
