SA players abroad: Erasmus, Jali, Mokotjo, Patosi, Rantie, Veldwijk, Zungu

Andile Jali was back in the mix in Belgium, Bongani Zungu made his first league start in Portugal, while Kermit Erasmus, Ayanda Patosi and Tokelo Rantie missed out in Europe on the weekend.

HAASHIM DOMINGO
Domingo played for the Vitoria Guimaraes B side as they were beaten 1-0 by Aves in the Portuguese second division. He continues to make good progress with the side though.

KERMIT ERASMUS
Erasmus made his loan switch to Ligue 2 side Lens from Rennes late last week but did not feature for his new club at the weekend while the paperwork is sorted out.

ANDILE JALI
Jali returned to the starting line-up for the first time in three months as Oostende defeated Waasland-Beveren 1-0 in Belgium. He has profited from the absence of Cameoron midfielder Sébastien Siani at the Nations Cup.

SÉRGIO MARAKIS
Marakis played for his new Portuguese second-tier side União Madeira as they lost 3-1 at Sporting Braga B.

LEHLOGONOLO MASALESA
Masalesa was a halftime substitute for Greek side Larissa as they drew 0-0 with Platanias.

KAMOHELO MOKOTJO
Mokotjo was restored to the FC Twente starting line-up as they won 1-0 at home to Heracles.

AYANDA PATOSI
Despite a clean slate at Belgian side Lokeren, Patosi did not make the match-day 18 this weekend.

TOKELO RANTIE
Rantie did not make the match-day squad for Turkish side Genclerbirligi this weekend.

JOEL UNTERSEE
Untersee played for Italian Serie B side Brescia as they lost 2-0 home loss to Avellino.

LARS VELDWIJK
Bafana striker veldwijk came on for the final eight minutes of Belgian side Kortrijk’s 3-2 home loss to Zulte-Waregem.

BONGANI ZUNGU
Zungu made his first league start for Portuguese top-flight side Vitoria Guimaraes as they won 2-0 away at Sporting Braga.
