Cape Town City announce DreamClub 100

Cape Town City have confirmed the 100 clubs to be accepted into the 2017 DreamClub 100 programme.

City Boyz chairman John Comitis has hailed the magnitude of the development initiative, which sees the topflight side forge relationships with local teams in the Mother City.

Comitis said: "DreamClub 100 is the most inclusive and far reaching youth development programme in the country. It is a project that benefits the entire football fraternity in Cape Town. We have been overwhelmed and humbled by the amount of applications and positivity about our exciting new initiative.

"We are looking forward to working with all of the 100 selected LFA clubs to build lasting relationships that give our youth a clear path to achieving their professional footballing dreams, while giving back to the youth clubs that make it all possible."

City released a statement, which reads: 'Cape Town City FC in conjunction with SAFA Cape Town would like to thank every club for submitting their applications to be part of the 2017 DreamClub 100 programme.

'We were overwhelmed with the high number of applications and appreciate this sign of interest in our joint project.
