Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung has provided an update regarding Siphelele Mthembu and Lorenzo Gordinho, as well as a few trialists.
Amakhosi are currently on a training camp in Potchefstroom, where they are preparing for the resumption of the 2016/17 Absa Premiership campaign set to restart next month.
The club have revealed that they are currently hosting trialists from Venezuela, Brazil and Malawi, after Ivorian defender Ismail Traore returned to his team in France.
“We have released the Ivorian player Ismael Olivier Traore back to his team. We will assess the remaining players in the next week before we come to a conclusion," Motaung told his club's website.
Motaung has also welcomed the return of centre-back Gordinho from his trial at Danish Superliga club Aalborg, and says they have yet to recieve an offer for the player's services.
“We welcome Lorenzo back. At the moment we have not received communication on the outcome of his trial," he added.
"He is still contracted to us, so we will look at the offer if it is presented and take it from there.”
Meanwhile, The Glamour Boys are in advanced talks with Bloemfontein Celtic over the possible loan deal for Mthembu, and are optimistic that it will be wrapped up soon.
“The talks with Celtic for the loan deal of Mthembu are at an advanced stage,” confirmed 'Bobsteak'. “We hope to conclude the deal soon.”
