Kaizer Chiefs striker Siphelele Mthembu impresses Bloemfontein Celtic during Lesotho friendly

Posted: 18 January 2017 Time: 22:27

Siphelele Mthembu has reportedly done enough to impress the technical team of Bloemfontein Celtic in a practice match against Lesotho.

KickOff.com reported earlier today that Celtic would be assessing the Kaizer Chiefs man in a match against the Crocodiles at Siwelele Park.

The home side managed to hold the Lesotho national team to a 1-1 draw with Celtic's goal coming courtesy of Vusi Shikweni.

Celtic interim co-coach John Maduka said after the encounter that he was impressed with the big Amakhosi striker.

"Yes [we were impressed], we drew 1- 1 and he [Mthembu] did very well," Maduka tells KickOff.com.

"He did what we wanted to see and the rest we hope it will follow."
