Golden Arrows chairperson Mato Madlala has confirmed the Durban side have signed Zimbabwean striker Knox Mutizwa from PSL rivals Bidvest Wits.

Arrows are in need of a striker after parting ways with Colombian forward Mauricio Barrios, which was revealed by Abafana Bes’thende coach Clinton Larsen on this site today.

Madlala has since confirmed the club have secured the services of Mutizwa from Wits on loan until the end of the season, while further attesting to their interest in one or two other players, including former Orlando Pirates player Chiukepo Msowoya and Brandon Dean.

“Yes, it is true that we have signed him [Mutizwa],” Madlala tells

“We've also got few players that we are looking at and one is Msowoya.”

Mutizwa, who has not played a single PSL match for Gavin Hunt’s Wits this season, will battle it out for starting spot up front for Arrows with Lerato Lamola, Sandile Dlamini and Sibusiso Sibeko.
