Roggert Nyundu says the time for talking is over and he now wants to start a new chapter in his career by scoring goals for AmaZulu after linking up with the NFD side late last year.
Nyundu was released by Black Leopards after he expressed his unhappiness at not playing for Lidoda Duvha under then Zimbabwe coach Jairo Taperio.
The 29-year-old, who had superb season in 2014/15 as he notched 19 goals in all competitions, despite only playing the second half of the campaign, managed only nine in 24 appearances for the Limpopo-based outfit last season.
But now he’s set to play in the second half of the season for Usuthu, the club he scored his only goal against this season for Leopards in four league matches, and Nyundu is eager to impress and wants to focus on his football for Joey Antipas’ side.
“Today we played a friendly matche against a lower division side and I started what I’m here for in Durban,’’ Nyundu tells Kickoff.com.
‘’I scored six goals, but for me that means I haven’t done anything. I want to translate, that to official matches so I just want to keep quiet and play football and score goals and there’s nothing much I can say.
“Regarding training and everything here, I gel everywhere I go so the training I have had here, I’m coping with everything. So I’m happy with the way things are going on. This team is very professional … I’m happy.’’
Nyundu is set to make his debut for Usuthu, who are fourth on the log table with 23 points from 15 matches, against University of Pretoria on February 11 at Tuks Stadium.
